Vidyakrishna College of Health Education operates on a strict Zero-Tolerance Policy towards ragging. In accordance with the directives of the Honorable Supreme Court of India, the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the Indian Nursing Council (INC), ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within and outside the college premises, including hostels and transport.

What Constitutes Ragging?

Physical/Mental Abuse

Any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student on the ground of color, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, or gender.

Verbal Harassment

Any conduct by words spoken or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

Financial/Academic Extortion

Asking students to perform tasks, run errands, part with money, or any act that disrupts the regular academic activity of a student.

Consequences & Disciplinary Actions

Students found guilty of ragging, actively or passively, or being part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, will be subjected to strict disciplinary action, which may include but is not limited to:

× Suspension: Immediate suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
× Hostel Eviction: Withholding or withdrawing scholarships/fellowships and immediate expulsion from the hostel.
× Rustication: Rustication from the institution for periods ranging from 1 to 4 semesters.
× FIR Filing: Filing a First Information Report (FIR) with the local police, leading to potential arrest and a permanent criminal record.
