Admissions & Seat Allocation

Vidyakrishna College of Health Education is dedicated to providing equal opportunities to all sections of society. Our admission process for ANM, GNM, and D.Pharm programs strictly adheres to the reservation guidelines and roster system implemented by the Government of Jharkhand, as well as the norms prescribed by the respective national and state councils.

Reservation Categories

Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes of Jharkhand, as per the prevailing state government roster.

Scheduled Castes (SC)

A designated percentage of seats is allocated to candidates from the Scheduled Caste category holding a valid state certificate.

OBC (BC-I & BC-II)

Reservation is provided to Extremely Backward Classes (BC-I) and Backward Classes (BC-II) as per Jharkhand state policies.

Economically Weaker Section

Seats are reserved for the EWS category (General candidates meeting the specific income criteria) as mandated by the government.

Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

Horizontal reservation is provided for differently-abled candidates across all categories subject to medical fitness for the course.

Important Guidelines & Required Documents

To claim a seat under any reserved category, candidates must fulfill the domicile requirements of Jharkhand and present the following original documents during the time of admission and counseling:

  • Valid Caste Certificate: Issued by the competent authority (Circle Officer / SDO / DC of Jharkhand) for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
  • Local Resident / Domicile Certificate: Issued by the appropriate authority of Jharkhand Government to prove state residency.
  • Income & Asset Certificate: Mandatory for candidates claiming seats under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or for OBC candidates to prove non-creamy layer status.
  • Disability Certificate: Issued by a recognized Medical Board for candidates applying under the PwD quota.
  • ! Note: Failure to produce valid, original documents at the time of admission will result in the forfeiture of the reserved seat, and the candidate will be treated under the Unreserved (General) category, subject to merit.
